How to login to the CMS editing interface

Login to Your Site

  1. Go to the login URL for your site:

    1. ESNET: https://www.es.net/admin

    2. CRD: https://crd.lbl.gov/admin

    3. NERSC: https://www.nersc.gov/admin

    4. CS: https://cs.lbl.gov/admin

    5. Fasterdata: https://fasterdata.es.net/admin

  2. Log in using your Berkeley Lab identity (or NERSC ID on www.nersc.gov only):

  3. You will then be prompted to enter a one-time password at the Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) dialog:

If you do not yet have MFA enabled, learn more about MFA at Berkeley Lab, including how to enroll in MFA, connect Google Autheticator or Yubikey, and more.

ALTERNATE LOGIN for CSA, CRD, or NERSC Websites:

When editing the CSA, CRD, and NERSC sites you may log in from any page by choosing the login link. (On the NERSC site, you'll find that on the upper right near the search box; CS and CRD both have "staff login" links in the footers.)

The Login Link Saves Time by Opening the current page in the CMS:
If you are on a page that needs editing, just log in from that page to edit it. By contrast, sitename.xxx/admin drops you into the CMS at the root level. From there, you must navigate through the Site Tree to find your page. Using the login link saves you the extra step of navigating through the site structure to find the page you wish to edit.

Note that ES.net and fasterdata.es.net do not offer a quick-login link or button. Use the /admin URL to log into these websites.

How to Access the CMS Once You Are Logged In

If you ALREADY HAVE EDIT PRIVILEGES, you’ll see a green “Live” widget at the upper right of the browser window.

Expand the widget by clicking it:

Next, choose “Edit in CMS” to open the CMS interface:

Once you are in the CMS editing space, you can choose to work in either Split Screen Mode or Editing Mode - control this from the fly-out menu in the little gray box in the lower right corner of the CMS screen:
